New development model… for the benefit of the environment

Classical development models are based on linear and quality-oriented economic growth and cannot be applied on local, regional or global scale because it is proven that they do not contribute to the prosperity of mankind nor to the maintenance of balance in nature. Quite the contrary, during the crisis the classical development model failed as well because it is not even able to ensure one-sided increase of material welfare and because it only partially considers environmental and social issues. We daily receive warnings about climate changes and how we should immediately start with the adaptation of regional and local programmes and measures.
